About the method
ILM is a hands-on method performed on a treatment table, in which the practitioner uses different forms of movement to work with the body. It primarily involves rocking, swaying, wave-like, vibrating and oscillating impulses, as well as functional movement patterns that simulate small slips and drops and follow the natural structure of the skeletal system. The treatment is performed fully clothed and typically does not involve soft-tissue manipulation, massage, or joint cracking. Instead, the movements and stimuli are adapted to the individual’s current state and patterns, providing new information and helping them explore new possibilities.
